The beautifully-designed outdoor mall is home to local businesses offering everything from boutique shopping to delicious food, recreational rental equipment, and even real estate. Food options include sit-down dining or casual food and drinks like coffee, pastries, and beer. There is even a grocery store. The mall also offers world-class entertainment and seasonal activities ranging from mini golf to ice skating. 

Sunriver Business Park is home to additional shopping and local conveniences. You can buy clothing and fishing gear and secure local permits. There is also a post office, hardware store, barbershop, florist, and Hallmark shop. 

For a third option, Spring River Plaza offers casual food options, recreational equipment, and added perks like a convenience store and bargain shopping. Be sure to pick something up at Second Tern Thrift Shop. The proceeds go to Sunriver Nature Center and Observatory.

What’s Open in Sunriver Oregon

Activities and attractions will vary by season, but you will have plenty to do regardless of the time of year. Here’s a look at what you can enjoy during the warm and cold seasons.

The summer offers a long list of activities, many of which are water-related. You can try first-rate fly fishing or enjoy water recreation activities in the Deschutes River, like kayaking, canoeing, and floating along the river on floatation devices with friends or a tour guide. For added excitement, you can try whitewater rafting. If you prefer water activities closer to home, you and the entire family can swim and relax at the Sunriver Homeowners Aquatic & Recreation Center. 

In addition to water sports, Sunriver is well-known for spectacular golf courses. It also sits near Mt. Bachelor, which offers summer activities like downhill biking, zip lining, scenic chairlift rides, hiking, disc golf, and forest talks. 

There are plenty of other sites to see, including the ancient volcanic scenery at Lava Butte, views of the stars at the Oregon Observatory, local exhibits, and a nature walk at the High Desert Museum. Summer is also the perfect time to take a long drive on the Cascade Lakes Scenic Highway. It’s a scenic drive that you won’t forget. 

Sunriver is also a popular destination for winter activities. Mt. Bachelor offers skiing, snowboarding, tubing/sledding, and even dog sled rides. You can lace up for ice skating at the ice rink located at The Village at Sunriver. You can even dive into new adventures like snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and ATV riding at Wanoga and Dutchman Flat “sno parks.” 

What Is Sunriver Oregon Real Estate Like?

Sunriver is a planned residential community and resort destination with a strong and enduring reputation as a vacation hotspot. Is There a Sunriver Oregon Chamber of Commerce? 

Yes, the Chamber of Commerce is located at 56825 Venture Ln #110, Bend, OR 97707, across the street from Camp Abbot Trading Post. It is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, and is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Its website is https://sunriverchamber.com/. On the website and inside the facility, you will find an annual calendar of events and a list of attractions and activities to enjoy. You can even learn about owning property and gaining employment.
