This house is full of unique charm and character. This is a carousel single-level home with 5 Bedrooms + Family Room, 3 full baths + 2 1/2 baths (5 bathroom areas, total). Great home for separate families or groups as home can be closed off into three separate units. The first unit has a private bedroom with bathroom with shower. The second living unit has a living area with open-ceilinged bedrooms (walls don’t go all the way up to the ceiling) with kitchen, king size bed and half-bath in the first bedroom and second bedroom has a set of bunks. Third unit has kitchenette (fridge and sink) and living area with big screen TV, stone fireplace, and new leather furniture, bedroom with a king bed and half bath, plus a bedroom with two sets of bunks. 2 TVs, 2 VCRs, DVD, Free High Speed Wireless Internet, Kenmore Elite washer/Dryer, dishwasher, microwave. Home does have air conditioning. Gas BBQ and hot tub on the deck overlooking the trees. Bikes. Home is in a very wooded area that you’ll be able to see that with the abundant large windows in the home. Peek-a-boo View of South Meadows Golf Course and less than a quarter mile to the Deschutes River. On South End of Sunriver, close to Sunriver Lodge and Village Mall. No Smoking, Pets ok with a fee, Parking for 5 Cars, sleeps up to 12.

Amazing service and hospitality! Check-in process was faster than at the average hotel, I used self checkout box, so that was even faster. The house was as described, very big, good location (10 min from The Village). We've enjoyed our stay very much! Hope to come back some other time!

We purposely list in the home description that the walls don't go all the way to the ceiling in all but one bedroom, and of course all of the bathrooms. As you said this home is affordable, has air conditioning, easy access to the Village Mall and Sunriver Resort! We do apologize that there was so much construction debris outside when you arrived, and thank you for letting us know what you found! We hope to see you again soon!

I would recommend this property to a friend IF it was made super clear to them that the walls do not go all the way up to the ceiling, making privacy difficult. With that understanding, its a fine place to stay. Affordable. Located not too far from the river, the lodge and store. We did let management know about the sharp nails, screws and bits we found outside on the property due to recent work being done.

Design is very unusual but functional for a large group. Homey admosphere and comfortable. Had some problems with the heating in one room and we did have a ceiling leak in one bedroom even though it was freezing outside. Lots of snow and cold weather but we enjoyed the fireplace.

This time of year it is very difficult to keep the decks cleared of pine needles, one small breeze and the deck can be littered with needles. We apologize for the cleaning issues that you encountered and we will make our housekeeping manager aware so that she can coach her staff and retrain them on the areas that they missed. The house was perfect for our 3 generations - teenage grandchildren, our children, and us. There are two 6-person tables, which split us up nicely for meals. We could stretch one to 8 people to play games at night. Everyone did what they wanted - the hot tub was a big hit, the SHARC passes were outstanding, the observatory, disc golf, "real" golf, and of course bike riding. 5 bathrooms!! We knew from reading reviews the walls did not reach the ceiling, but that was no problem. We chose the one bedroom that was separate and had real walls to block out the noise, and the younger generations weren't bothered by it. The home was well stocked - plenty of dishes, silverware, cups, even for 12 people. The one downside was the cleanliness. When we walked up, the deck and chairs were covered in pine needles, the grill had not been cleaned, and I was worried about the how the inside would look. But when we walked inside, the countertops, tables and chairs all looked clean. The carpets and blinds were stained -they need to be replaced if a deep cleaning isn't enough. I threw some of the throw rugs in the washer because they were so bad and they came out beautifully, so I don't know why the cleaning crew didn't do that. We'd like to come back next year but hope the cleaning/maintenance have been upgraded.

What a fun unusual place to hold our family reunion. Kids loved the unique set up. Adults were smiling at the yurt and 70s decor. Nice separation of space (a living room for kids, another for adults). The second full-size fridge made a great "drinks fridge" for our large gathering. Note: Be aware those open ceilings mean *everything* is heard between rooms. I especially appreciated that Cascara supplied us extra towels (because at first we couldn't find the ample amount already supplied to us) and taught us how to run the A/C/ They are all-around super friendly and responsive! We'd come back!

This is a great house for groups or a couple of families. It's not soundproof though so remember there isn't a lot of privacy in each of the carousels but for us it was perfect. Great location for walking dogs, very comfy beds, wonderful hot tub for cold nights, a huge supply of wood for the fireplace. Cascara was fabulous when our internet wasn't working, they came right away and fixed it. It felt like we were visiting family! Highly recommend this house (it seems to be made for short people, low counters and shower-heads, so it gave us lots to laugh about).

We spent an extended holiday at Pine Cone 7 during the winter - its one level layout, with two living areas and separate bedroom areas worked for us. Its location near bike paths and the river allowed for winter walks, snow-shoeing, and cross-country skiing. Because it was winter, we appreciated the availability of internal access to the house through the garage so that my elderly parents could avoid ice and snow on the deck. A walk-in shower in one of the baths was also a plus for accessibility, and separate thermostats in the two circular units meant that we could make one unit warmer for their comfort. We appreciated the interesting design and retro interior of this comfortable, functional home. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here 2 families with 6 kids total. Nice to have sufficient sleeping space bathrooms for everyone. Only unusual feature you must be prepared for is lack of floor to ceiling walls. All but one bedroom are actually partitions with high walls that don't reach all the way to the top. Be mindful if you are concerned about privacy/noise etc. We had great fun. Cascara took great care of us as well.

Although unostentatious and modest, this 1970's era SR property has much to recommend it. We found the property a particularly suitable solution for our outdoors oriented and physically active midsize family group with modest vacation shelter requirements, e.g., a business luxury accomocation is not a requirement for group satisfaction. Property strong points include 5 smaller bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, all suitable to accomodate a close knit intergenerational family group with pets. Finally, the property enjoys a very quiet but close-in location near the river and golf course with convienent access to the Village center and related amenities. Our family group, including grandparents, daughter & spouse and three grandchildren ages 7 to 13, overall were very happy with this accomodation and location.

Notes

PET POLICY
Pets are allowed in homes classified as pet-friendly homes with management pre-approval and a non-refundable pet fee. Please note the following policies at our pet-friendly homes.

  1. Cascara welcomes pets for an additional fee of $10 per night/per pet.
  2. All pets must be on a leash or under voice command at all times when outside of the home.
  3. Guests are responsible for cleaning up after all pet waste.
  4. Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Evidence of pets on furniture may incur additional deep cleaning fees.
  5. Additional fees may apply if your pet causes damage or disturbances to premises or furnishings or leaves excessive amounts of hair.
  6. Guests should prevent pets from producing excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors. Cascara reserves the right to remove guests whose pets are deemed noisy or disruptive.
  7. Pet will not be left unattended on balcony, patio, or porch. If you leave the pet in the home while you are gone the pet will need to be placed in a pet carrier to avoid any scratches or damages to walls and trim while left unattended.
  8. Guest agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Cascara Vacation Rentals, its operators and owners and their respective affiliates from all liability and/or damage suffered as a result of their pet.

Guest will be solely responsible for the pet while on the property and in Sunriver.

No Smoking Policy

All Cascara Vacation properties do not permit smoking inside the vacation homes or condos. This includes, but is not limited to; tobacco, marijuana, vape pens, vaping, cartridges containing liquid nicotine, hookahs, cigars, or any lighted inhaled material. Any damage caused by smoking is 100% the responsibility of the guest on file. Sunriver is surrounded by the abundant wooded area of the Deschutes National Forest, which makes for a very high wildfire risk in the warm months.

According to Sunriver Owners Association Rules and Regulations:

Smoking of cigarettes, pipes, or other substances on or along any road, drive, lane (except within an enclosed motor vehicle), pathway, trail, or any SROA owned property is prohibited unless specifically permitted by signage.
