Enjoy all that Central Oregon has to offer from this cozy, riverfront cabin on the Deschutes River. With a 5-minute walk to the La Pine State Park trailhead, about 15 minutes south of Sunriver, 30 minutes from Bend, and 40 minutes to Mt. Bachelor, this is the perfect vacation spot for rest, relaxation, and easy access to outdoor fun. From this peaceful 6-acre, river-front cabin at the end of the road, you can set out on foot, kayak, paddleboard, bike, or go by car to enjoy this beautiful area.

We have plush, updated beds in 3 bedrooms that can comfortably sleep 8. Upstairs - 1 king bed in the master bedroom; downstairs - 1 queen in one room and 1 set of full bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom. There is also a queen-sized blow-up mattress that can be set up anyplace you need it. The living room and each bedroom has flat-screen TV’s with Amazon firesticks (no cable). There is wireless, a new fireplace, a deck with dining tables & chairs, and a new propane BBQ. Ceiling fans for summer cooling.

This cabin is quiet and private with easy access to everything outdoors! Or just stay put and enjoy the river view from the two story-glass windows from the living room, dining room, and kitchen. You’ll see some great sunsets and a lot of wildlife sightings!

Mon, Dec 27 Wed, Dec 29, 2021 VRBO 5/5 * * * * * Beautiful home and property This is a very comfortable and beautiful place to vacation. It was nicely decorated, very clean, and cozy on snowy days. The kitchen has everything you need and more. The fireplace was tricky to get going but once you did it really made the house warm. The beds were comfortable. The well stopped working while we were there and so your stay got cut short at the house. The management company found us another place to stay right away and took very good care of us. One thing to know is that if you are staying with dogs or small children the Deschutes River is just down the bank and the property does not have any fencing-make sure to watch your pets and children. We would love to stay here again.

Beautiful views from the living room, open kitchen with high-tech appliances, and the beds were all very comfortable. Great layout for our family of four, my parents, and our elderly dog. Highly recommend. La Pine State Park is very close by, and we hiked different trails every day! Great location.

Wed, Aug 25 Sun, Aug 29, 2021 VRBO 5/5 * * * * * Beautiful Serene Cabin In Remote Setting The cabin sits on a large property in a remote setting with the Deschutes river running in the backyard. The outdoor setup with chairs, loungers and hammock are wonderful. And the outside patio with full outdoor dining table is great. We saw deer roaming through. Very serene and calming in.

Patrick S Tue, Dec 22 Sat, Dec 26, 2020 From Vrbo 5/5 * * * * * Beautiful Winter Retreat We absolutely loved this cabin as our Christmas vacation get away. The cabin was pristine with wonderful warming tile floors. There location was amazing with phenomenal views of the woods and the Deschutes River. The kids loved the snow and having the ability to roam around especially since we are from AZ. We were even fortunate enough to see a Bald Eagle flying around the river for a few minutes! The property managers were responsive and available when it was necessary to contact them. Communication was quick and friendly during each interaction. Overall, highly suggested property with gracious property owners. Definitely on our list to visit again!

Kurt B Thu, Nov 05 Mon, Nov 09, 2020 From Vrbo 5/5 * * * * * The Property was as Advertised The location is great with the river in the back yard and plenty of privacy. The house was clean and in good shape. Everything worked well (appliances, internet, TV, grill, heated floors). The bed in the master was very comfortable. This would be great spot in the summer being able to put kayaks in right from the back yard. It was a great break from the "COVID work from home" monotony.

Team was great. Very accommodating with the canoe issue. nice over the phone.
Its a nice place and secluded. Like the heated floors and comfy beds. This was our first rental in the area, Next time we would seek out a place with some games (pool table, foos ball or similar) and better fishing (the river near the house is great and beautiful but, fast flowing and poor fishing).

Reviewed on Airbnb- This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location! The property is private and yet doesn't feel remote. The view from the front windows is incredible as it looks out on the Deschutes River. We loved watching the Canada Geese and Blue Herons right from the comfort of the living room, while sitting by the warm wood stove. Each room is decorated tastefully and is designed with guests in mind! The beds are also very comfortable! We loved the heated floors, the centrally located kitchen and the home's layout. I really can't say enough about how great this place is! We will be back!

The home and surroundings are very nice. Great privacy and good amenities inside. My only complaint is that they should state there is no cable TV (I was hoping to watch UO football). To be fair they didn't advertise cable TV, but most people would assume they'd have it.I would definitely recommend this home. 9/27/17 We thank you for your great comments and are so happy to hear that you enjoyed this home and its amenities. You are right, it should mention this in the description of the home and we have since added this to the website. We look forward to having you as a guest again in the future!

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Bear Lane home! The river is very high and the current very strong for this time of year, normally the current has slowed a bit by now. As you mentioned there are still plenty of things to do, including the La Pine State Park trail system! The owner is planning to have the home painted later this year :) We hope to see you again soon! Update: the home was painted Oct 2018.
Great experience - a bit far from amenities like we have been used to when staying in Sunriver. The home was very nice on the inside and very clean. Even though we had very hot days, with shades down and fan on, the house stayed cool. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 3 kids (10, 15, 16). Beautiful setting, very private. Close to great walking and mountain biking in La Pine State Park (3-minute bike ride away). We were hoping to go tubing in the river from the front door, but the current was fairly strong and takeout opportunities limited. Outside of home needed some paint and grass mowing.
